1. Information We Collect

GetHistAI collects activity data from your device through our desktop agent. This includes application usage metadata, document titles, browser page titles, and calendar event summaries. Raw content (screenshots, keystrokes, full text) is processed locally and only encrypted embeddings are transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your encrypted data is used solely to power your personal AI memory index. We do not use your data to train models, serve advertising, or share with third parties. Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be collected to improve service reliability.

3. Data Storage & Encryption

All data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-GCM with keys derived from your account credentials. Encryption keys never leave your device. Server-side storage is hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of your subscription. Free-tier accounts retain 7 days of history. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently erased within 30 days from all primary and backup systems.

5. Your Rights

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. No third-party tracking cookies are employed. Analytics, when used, rely on server-side event counting only.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account at least 14 days before taking effect.
